With deep sorrow and heartfelt remembrance, the family and community of Lowell, Massachusetts are mourning the passing of Michael Anthony Silva, affectionately known as “Mikey,” who died on June 11, 2026, at the age of 39.

Born on April 3, 1987, in Lowell, Mikey was the beloved son of the late Michael Silva and Cheryl Begley. Raised in the city he proudly called home, he attended Lowell High School and remained closely connected to his community throughout his life. He was widely known for his warm personality, genuine kindness, and ability to make others feel valued and welcomed.

Those who knew Mikey describe him as someone with a generous heart and an easygoing spirit. He formed friendships effortlessly and maintained deep, lasting bonds built on loyalty and trust. Whether through conversation, laughter, or simple acts of kindness, he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Family was at the center of Mikey’s life. He shared a particularly close bond with his mother, Cheryl Begley, and his beloved Nana, who played an important role in shaping the caring and compassionate man he became. He treasured time spent with family, valuing gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments alike.

Mikey worked in the food service industry, where colleagues and customers remember him for his strong work ethic and friendly nature. Outside of work, he found joy in bowling, often sharing lighthearted and memorable moments with friends. Music also held a special place in his life, serving as a constant source of comfort, expression, and connection.

He is survived by his mother Cheryl Begley, his brothers Nicholas Silva and Ryan Silva, extended family members including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Silva, and his grandfather Larry Begley.

Visiting hours will be held on June 23, 2026, at McDonough Funeral Home in Lowell, followed by a service of remembrance where family and friends will gather to honor his life and legacy.
